Overview
A nightmare 30 years in the making, Mad God is a wholly practical, stop motion passion project from legendary special effects wizard Phil Tippett (responsible for all your favourite creatures and machines from Star Wars to Jurassic Park and beyond). A lone figure known as ‘The Assassin’ descends into a Miltonesque underworld of monsters, mad scientists and war pigs.

Why See This Film
We’re honoured to finally bring Phil Tippett’s Mad God to the Golden Screen. This goopy, grotesque and almost wordless vision of some kind of hell began as Tippett’s personal project in 1987 before being rediscovered by a group of animators at his Studio decades later. Hand crafted over many weekends by a team of over 60 passionate artists with crowd-funding support, Mad God is a macabre love letter to the magic of stop motion animation, the craft of practical effects and all the nasty little critters they bring to life.
