Overview
Yorgos Lanthimos reunites with The Favourite star Emma Stone to deliver a brilliantly bold and risqué reimagination of the Frankenstein tale, based on the 1992 novel by Alasdair Gray. The peculiar, infantile Bella (Emma Stone) lives under the strict care of mad scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe). As Bella learns more about the world, she becomes increasingly curious and consumed by desire. When the debaucherous lawyer Duncan Wedderburn (a hilarious Mark Ruffalo) offers to take her to Portugal, she jumps at the chance of freedom and embarks on a raucous journey of self-actualisation.
