Overview

Dominic Sessa and Antonio Banderas star in this coming-of-age portrait of legendary late chef and author Anthony Bourdain, directed by Matt Johnson (Blackberry, Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie). Rejected by universities and chasing his high-school crush, a directionless 19-year-old Bourdain travels to Provincetown and stumbles into the chaotic world of a restaurant kitchen, setting off a summer that will shape the course of his life.

Why You Should See This Film

Based on early chapters of Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, the memoir that made Bourdain a superstar, Tony sees Johnson once again re-invigorating the stale biopic formula and makes a genuine movie star out of Sessa. Aided by a stellar collection of back-of-house misfits (including Stavros Halkias) and a stunning turn by Banderas as a mentor, this is a film for anyone who wants to experience the vicarious thrill of the kitchen.
