Spend a day cruising around Tokyo with celebrated Japanese architect Ryue Nishizawa in this city portrait from filmmaking duo Bêka & Lemoine. Behind the wheel of his beloved vintage Alfa Romeo Giulia, Nishizawa takes the viewer on a relaxed and insightful personal tour through his home city, pointing out places that have influenced him and visiting the home of Kazuyo Sejima, Nishizawa’s fellow founding partner at the award-winning SANAA firm.
Shot in black-and-white over a single rainy day in the Japanese capital, Tokyo Ride offers an enticing opportunity to spend time with Nishizawa, shining a light on his inspirations, passions and design philosophy.
