“Sweet Thing” began its journey two years ago when WILSN sat down in a writing session with LA songwriting duo Nicky Davey (The Internet, Beyoncé). The unfinished demo sat in a state of limbo until 3 months ago, when she brought it to her bandmate and collaborator Nicholas Lam (Jaala). Together with producer/mixer Stephen Mowat (Ali Barter) the trio flipped the song on its head and finished the process with something completely different from where they started.

The song serves as a message to anyone feeling unaccepted, an outsider, comparing themselves to others or having trouble staying true to themselves. To quote WILSN, “The song is really a reminder to myself as much as it is encouragement to those who listen to it”.
