With raw, resonant lyrics, Tiali Eliza accompanies a soulful yet versatile voice with grungy guitar tones and a funky band. Her music has a sultry alternative rock feel, while also incorporating elements of Latin, punk, soul, and jazz. Tiali’s songwriting draws mostly from personal experiences, and she expresses her views on society, culture, and the issues that surround it, using music as a therapeutic tool for release.

March 2020, Australian pubs shut, and in search of a new extra curricular activity, four friends came together in a Marrickville garage and formed Marilyn Maria. Taking namesake from Monroe and the virgin martyr, with influences from The Drones to Shakira, Marilyn Maria have settled into an Australiana suburban groove; loud, catchy and cathartic.
