Laurence Pike
'Holy Spring' Album Launch

Prolific Australian percussionist and composer Laurence Pike returns with Holy Spring, his second solo album for The Leaf Label in as many years, following on from 2018’s techno-spiritual jazz suite Distant Early Warning. Pike has been operating at the cutting edge of the electronic, rock and jazz music worlds for the better part of two decades with a slew of critically acclaimed releases to his name as part of forward-thinking groups such as PVT, Triosk and Szun Waves (with their acclaimed 2018 release New Hymn To Freedom).

This was as well as collaborations with Jack Ladder & The Dreamlanders, legendary jazz pianist Mike Nock, Liars, Bill Callahan, Sarah Blasko, Prefuse 73 and D.D Dumbo to name a few. Performing with little more than a drum kit and sampler, Pike's savant solo performances are a transcendental journey through his own jazz history and the electronic experimentation of his bands.

Doors open at 2:30pm, performance starts at 10pm sharp
