Huck Hastings
Huck Hastings
'Soft' Single Launch with Brendon Moon

Poetic and impassioned, Huck Hastings makes artful and affecting pop that will work its way deep under your skin. Hastings’ debut single 'Exorcism' hit the top of the Triple J Unearthed charts in its first week, catapulting him into the vanguard of Sydney’s folk scene. His subsequent crowdfunded seven-song debut EP “Huckleberry Blues” – an intimate and angst-riddled affair, detailing the turmoils of a young man coming to terms with himself and his skin – cemented his reputation as one of Sydney’s most engaging young songwriters.

Since then, Hastings has been hard at work. In addition to performing widely – both solo and as the singer of indie-pop outfit Hollow States (the Sydney support for Olympia’s “Different Cities” tour with two EPs of its own) – Hastings took a brief hiatus to write a commanding body of new work, releasing the lead single ('Hey Babe?') accompanying music video In October of last year. 'Hey Babe?' was added to rotation on FBi Radio upon its released and earned Hastings a spot as their independent artist of the week, along with international support from digital and print media. His next single 'Soft' serves as an epilogue to his current body of work.

Originally hailing from the picturesque Whitsundays, singer-songwriter Brendon Moon relocated to Sydney in 2012 in order to pursue his burgeoning musical career. His determination towards aural uniqueness has led him to develop a one-of-a-kind stage presence — with angelic vocals and lush guitar tones that are nothing short of exquisite. The artist's acclaimed debut album, released February 2019, is a showcase of Moon's of floating, androgynous vocals, meandering melodies and varied instrumental arrangements throughout and is a pure display of his unique and captivating musical style.

"Brendon masters his own version of an ethereal soundscape that is uniquely his." - Life Without Andy

“Showcasing of ethereal, soaring vocal beauty.” - Obscure Sound

"Moon has one of those voices that is just so captivating." - Timber & Steel

Doors open at 2:30pm, performance starts at 10pm sharp
