Emerging Brisbane-based singer/songwriter Asha Jefferies is hitting the road in celebration of her new EP 'Hold Yourself Together' — with support from Sydney's own Georgia Mulligan. Plenty of kids pick up a guitar at an early age, it can often be a pipe-dream handed down by an ambitious parent. It’s true, Asha Jefferies did in fact pick up a guitar and begin to sing at a very early age, but that action was by her own doing organically. And therein lies the fierce determination that seems to have naturally been installed in her at birth.
Now at 19, she is ready to release her first EP ‘Hold Yourself Together’. She has put out songs before, and they’ve done well too, but this one is her first body of work that encapsulates a point in time for the young songwriter. Naturally, she’s also writing more prolificaly than ever and has already started demoing her debut album, but for now, we have these six beautiful songs that far transcends Asha’s age, she’s an old soul and here you’ll hear music far beyond her years.
