Overview

After rapturous, sold-out acclaim at Sundance Film Festival, Sydney Film Festival and Hot Docs 2018, Three Identical Strangers arrives on our screen for a hotly-anticipated limited season. In 1980 New York, three identical young men accidentally meet and discover that they're triplets who were separated at birth. The trio of dumbfounded 19-year-olds are soon catapulted to international fame, appearing on myriad talk shows, filming movie cameos and eventually opening their own triplet-themed trattoria. But behind their joyous reunion is an extraordinary and disturbing mystery that reaches far beyond their own lives, unlocking a decades-old secret and questioning our assumptions about human nature.

Why You Should See This Film

The fewer details you know about this film, the better. Suffice to say, it's a veritably bizarre viewing experience that digs deeper beyond its shocking premise to unearth challenging existential questions about medical ethics, familial devotion, and the raising of children. Keep your eyes peeled for an especially surreal Desperately Seeking Susan moment, featuring the Queen of Pop herself.
