Overview

Beautifully filmed in mountainous small-town Utah, The Killing of Two Lovers is a taut and tense relationship drama. Married couple David (Clayne Crawford) and Nikki (Sepideh Moafi) are going through a trial separation, and have agreed to see other people. But while Nikki seems to be content with moving on, David is still holding on hope for a reconciliation. Struggling to come to terms with being apart from their four young children, as well as the thought of Nikki being with another man, David’s mental state begins to deteriorate.

Why You Should See This Film

A powerful study of male vulnerability, The Killing of Two Lovers unfolds in unexpected ways, despite treading familiar ground. Shot primarily in 4:3 to suit the film’s intense, claustrophobic atmosphere, and propelled by a captivating central performance by Clayne Crawford, it’s a powder keg of emotion that holds you from start to finish.
