Overview

The infamous original starring the late Brandon Lee (son of martial arts star Bruce Lee), based on the cult comic series by James O'Barr. On the eve of Halloween aka 'Devil's Night', and the day before their wedding, young couple Shelly (Sofia Shinas) and Eric (Lee) are killed by a group of thugs in their Detroit apartment. A year later, after a little girl that the couple had cared for visits their graves, a black crow taps at Eric's headstone and awakens him from death. As Eric follows the crow, he retraces his steps from that fateful night and sets out to seek revenge… after a costume change.

Why You Should See This Film

Directed by Alex Proyas (Dark City), this dark comic book story is the stuff of legend. Known partly for the death of Brandon Lee on set (the fake bullet meant to kill him in the film, was the real bullet that mortally wounded him), the whole film has an eerie air to it. The distinctive industrial, gothy style is amped up by the Very 90s soundtrack which features Nine Inch Nails covering Joy Division, Rage Against the Machine, Helmet, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Pantera– goth clubbing from the comfort of your seat.
