Overview

Looking for a zombie film with a certain … je ne sais quoi? When Parisian musician Sam (Anders Danielsen Lie) visits his ex-girlfriend Fanny (Sigrid Bouaziz) to recover some old possessions, he finds her apartment in the midst of a raucous party. Accidentally bumped by a fellow attendee, Sam’s nose starts to bleed and it’s not long before he passes out. Waking up the next morning to find the flat trashed, deserted and covered in blood, he soon realises that hoards of brain-thirsty, fast-moving zombies have taken over Paris. So begins a horrific and heart-pounding race to survive as Sam battles the terrifying outbreak with weapons, wits and his bare fists.

"Just when you think the zombie genre has been squeezed dry, along comes a perfectly amazing film ... it will blow your mind"
— Stephen King
"The most innovative zombie movie since 'Shaun of the Dead'"
— Indiewire

Why You Should See This Film

With a refreshing emphasis on the power of atmosphere and character development, The Night Eats the World manages to carve out its own niche within the familiar zombie genre. Marked by myriad moments of genuine horror and claustrophobic terror, it’s a shining beacon erupting from the bowels of the apocalypse. Look out for an extended cameo from virtuoso Frenchman Denis Lavant (Holy Motors, The Lovers on the Bridge) as an unusually approachable zombified old man.
