Overview

Directed by Martin Scorsese and based on the best-selling book by David Grann, Killers of the Flower Moon is a masterful Cannes-selected epic. At the turn of the 20th century, oil brought a fortune to the Osage Nation. The wealth of these Native Americans immediately attracted white interlopers, who manipulated, extorted, and stole as much Osage money as they could before resorting to murder. Based on a true story and told through the improbable romance of Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone), Killers of the Flower Moon is a western crime saga, with complex layers of love and betrayal.

Official Selection
— Cannes Film Festival
“An epic of creeping, existential horror about the birth of the American century”
— The Guardian
“Monumental stuff: a story about the deadly legacy of America’s colonial sins, both vast and intimate in scope”
— Empire
“DiCaprio and De Niro are brilliant, but it is relative unknown Lily Gladstone who is truly extraordinary”
— The Independent

Why You Should See This Film

It is rare to encounter a film with as much meat on its bones as Killers of the Flower Moon. Every element works in complete harmony, with flawless direction (with Scorsese showing no signs of slowing down at 80), tremendous performances from the legendary Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, and a narrative of extraordinary depth and richness that completely warrants its considerable runtime. But it is lead actor Lily Gladstone who shines spectacularly above all, with a performance we hope will earn a deserving Best Actress win at next year's Oscars.
