Overview

The long-awaited new film from one-of-a-kind creative powerhouse Miranda July (Me and You and Everyone We Know, The Future), Kajillionaire is a profoundly moving and wildly original crime caper with a twist. Old Dolio (Evan Rachel Wood) lives a life on the outskirts with her parents (Debra Winger and Richard Jenkins), two small-time hustlers always looking for their next scam to pay their way. When faced with eviction from their leaky office-cum-home, their latest big idea accidentally entangles a charming stranger (Gina Rodriguez) who slowly breaks Old Dolio's world apart.

Official Selection
— Sundance Film Festival 2020
“Funny, poignant and ultimately triumphant... It’s Miranda July, at her closely observed and compassionate best”
— The Washington Post
“It’s a delight to have July back behind the camera, especially with a project as tender and funny as this one”
— Little White Lies

Why You Should See This Film

Fans have had to wait almost a decade for a new film from Miranda July (that’s not to say she hasn’t been busy with other creative endeavours!). and we’re delighted to say that Kajillionaire is worth the wait. Absurdly funny, sharply observed and supercharged with emotion, it’s being praised as her best work to date.
