Overview

Boasting an enviable cast including Lady Gaga, Adam Driver and Al Pacino, House of Gucci sees director Ridley Scott turn his attention to the iconic Italian fashion house, creating a Oscar-nominated epic of glamorous, melodramatic and highly enjoyable proportions. Based on the true story of Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga), the film follows her journey from humble beginnings to the heady heights of global fashion following her marriage to Maurizio Gucci (Driver). After a whirlwind courtship, Patrizia and Maurizio’s union begins to sour as Patrizia’s insatiable desire for wealth and power grows by the day. Buckle in for a tale of high fashion, family legacy and despicable crime.

“Smart, funny and camp, it’s not interested in keeping a straight face, strutting its way to glory”
— Evening Standard
“A titillating, ridiculous and utterly engrossing soap opera”
— The Independent
“A tragicomic triumph of operatic proportions”
— Sight & Sound

Why You Should See This Film

A future camp classic in the making, House of Gucci is fun, OTT and not in the tiniest bit subtle. Al Pacino is legitimately great as Gucci chairman Aldo, and Gaga steals the screen as the conniving Patrizia, proving that A Star Is Born was no fluke. If you surrender yourself to the seductive ‘80s club beats (picture: Blondie, Eurythmics, George Michael, New Order) and try to forget the questionable accents, you are in for a good time.
