Overview
On the back of receiving a special mention at Locarno Film Festival and being named one of The Film Stage’s top films of 2021, FIRST TIME [The Time for All but Sunset – VIOLET] makes its Australian premiere. Have you ever locked eyes with a stranger on a train, and thought of what could be? In this film, an unexpected connection is sparked while a young man sits by the window on a Hamburg subway. Passengers come and go, then another young man sits across from him. As the golden hour bathes them in its glow, the subway circles the city and the pair steal glances at one another. FIRST TIME asks its characters and the audience to contemplate the endless possibilities: is this just a fleeting connection, or will it lead to something more?
