Evelyn Wang (Michelle Yeoh) has run into tax trouble at her family-run laundromat, her husband Waymond (Ke Huy Quan) wants a divorce, her father (James Hong) is visiting from China and her daughter Joy (Stephanie Hsu) wants her to accept her new girlfriend. Suddenly Evelyn is confronted by an alternate-universe version of Waymond who warns of an interdimensional menace bent on murdering all Evelyns and destroying the multiverse. As body-snatching minions converge, Evelyn is granted the ability to access the infinite versions of herself and adopt their memories and skills to fight back against the cosmic threat and save her family — in every universe.
