Overview

Ang Lee launched a worldwide cinematic phenomenon with his lavish martial arts masterpiece Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon in 2000, breaking box office records and winning countless accolades. Master Wudang swordsman Li Mu Bai (Chow Yun-fat) is preparing for retirement, and entrusts his priceless 400-year-old Green Destiny sword to his friend and fellow warrior Yu Shu Lien (Michelle Yeoh), to pass onto their benefactor Sir Te. When the sword is stolen from Sir Te’s estate, an epic battle for justice ensues – involving gifted young aristocrat Jen Yu (Zhang Ziyi), her calculating governess Jade Fox (Cheng Pei-pei) and plenty of romance and intrigue along the way.
