Why You Should See This Film
Shot on black-and-white super 16mm film, 1985 takes a hypnotic look at a pivotal moment in American history while paying tribute to those many voices now unheard. Virginia Madsen's quietly staggering performance is just one many grace notes in this small miracle of a film as it wisely speaks to the power of empathy and family in healing intergenerational trauma.
